Happy New Year...especially to your Solar Plexus...huh?

“New Year, New You?!”...

How about “New year, Same amazing you!” As we enter into the new year those that connect with this time of year may set goals and intentions for themselves.

Happy New Year from I Am Blessed Mala Beads

It can become easy to focus on “fixing” and less on living life and embracing even the messiest parts in the process. We all know that without momentum and hard work things just don't happen but perhaps it can look like being a bit more gentle and understanding. Practicing compassion and openness to everything that is flowing in and out of our lives, alongside the goals and intentions that we are implementing can be liberating. We always want to be the best version of ourselves, but what if you were just perfect- the way you are, in the situation you are in right now? What if to a point, it was just okay that life went a certain way, and is going a certain way? What if I leaned into the magic of whatever it is that truly serves me on the path to getting back to myself?

I welcome you to harness the healing energy of the new year as I myself work within the Chakra system. Going into the new year, it is almost way too perfect that the third chakra is the Solar Plexus. Deep within the core of each of us lies this place of identity and ego. Right above the navel, below the chest. When we are in tune, this is that “gut” place that bubbles up when we are not honoring our truth. It is here we begin to tap into our personal power, confidence and self discipline. We can tune into our truth when we practice working with the chakras, transforming stagnant energy into actually finding the “guts” to move forward with intention and compassion. That's the magic.

The colour associated with the Solar Plexus is yellow, bright as the sun. Each one of us has the ability to shine brightly within our strength and light. We always have the choice to move forward, to be kind to ourselves, to honor and nurture the parts of ourselves that need to be seen, heard, valued and carried forward into the light. This might not mean announcing it to the world, but living in an authentic way.

Healing stones such as onyx, pyrite, quartz, tigers eye all help to cleanse, balance and protect the wearer. They assist with harnessing personal strength and the courage to be raw. Using the medicine of stones can be impactful as you hold them in your hands while repeating a mantra, or carrying them with you and wearing them on your body somewhere to touch when you need a gentle reminder.

“I am proud of who I am. I am ok, just as I am. I am strong. I am capable of anything. I can move mountains just by being me.”
